It does my head in! As someone who has lost alot of weight many years ago I am extremely proud of my achievements and in now being a Size 10. But the variances in shops can be very disheartening, I can range from an 8 to a 12...and that can be in the same store! Obviously fitting into an 8 is a boost for the ego, but when I have to squeeze into a 12 I instantly feel 'fat'...and question whether I have put on weight. A days shopping can be a roller coaster of emotions!
I am extremely interested in seeing Choice's findings...a size 10 needs to be a size 10, not an 8 or 12 or 6 or 14...no wonder women have body issues!

Absolutely. It's not so much that I need the 'vanity sizing' {although that's nice...} but if I'm taking in an armful of clothes, with limited time to try it on I don't want to keep getting dressed to trot on out to go up or down in sizes. Some standardisation would be smashing!

If the US and Europe can have a consistent sizing system then there's no reason why we can't. I'm past letting what size I'm wearing bother my self esteem, if it fits and looks good that's all that matters to me but consistent sizing is important, we waste so much time trying to figure out what size we are.
